In most general definition trade unions are non-govermental organizations that builds on the objectives of maintaining the economic, democratic, social and cultural rights of labor. trade unions, like all other organizations in the community, are affected positively or negatively by the changes taking place in the field of political, cultural, economic and technological. in this context, it is argued that the rapid developments taking place in information and communication technologies have created significant changes on the activities of unions which, until recently, was.often criticized for cumbersome, bureaucratic and authoritarian structure. in this study, the use of new communication tool in the internal and external organizational communication processes in trade unions in turkey, were examined. the purpose of the research is to reveal that new communication technologies affects the organizational communicational activities in trade unions and contributes them positively. in this context a quantitative research method was used. as a data collection tool, an online questionnaire was prepared and sent via e-mail to regional and provincial offices of türk-is, disk ve hak-is which are the labor unions confederations in turkey and headquarters of trade unions that are affiliated with these confederations. when answers were analyzed, it has been revealed that trade unions in turkey benefit highly from the opportunities provided by new communication technologies both in the internal and external organizational communication activities.
