AN INVESTIGATION ON LIFE SATISFACTION OF STUDENTS IN FACULTY OF COMMUNICATION BY DIFFERENT VARIABLES

The life satisfaction which has a central position in positive psychology literature and in happiness of human-being is defined as the self-assessment of a person’s life quality by self-determined criteria. this study investigated the concept of life satisfaction by reviewing national and international literature and then life satisfaction levels of students in faculty of communication at erciyes university researched in terms of especially demographic features, department differences, type of education, geographical region, professional future expectancy, family income condition and housing situation. satisfaction with life scale which was developed by deiner, emmons, larsen, griffin (1985) was used to assess the life satisfaction of students in the research group.
