FROM TO TELEVISION SCREEN TO INTERNET: AS A HYBRID GENRE; ‘SINIF 2010’

By 2000’s, television broadcasting exhibits massive differences from its age of 1980’s and 1990’s when it was a single supreme mass media, as well as in technological/ organizational infrastructure and content. one of the places where we can see these differences is broadcasting content. examining the transformation of television program genres and exposing the relationship between television and new media has become particularly important. this study is trying to reveal transformation of television programs by genre analysing of television program which is broadcasted on turkish radio and television company (trt) in 2010 and 2011, called ‘sınıf 2010’. in this analysis, ‘sınıf 2010’s traditions of television program genres, common denominators between edutainment and effects of new media on the type of programs have been studied to determine. as a research model qualitative case analysing is chosen.
