   USING OF THE MUSIC IN POLITICAL COMMUNICATION: THE EFFECTS OF THE SONGS TO THE VOTERS IN 2011 GENERAL ELECTIONS

چکیده    Political parties use the many different tools and techniques to the voter for political communication studies in election periods. the most important goal of the political communication studies is to influence voters and provide to voters giving vote to their parties. during election periods songs the political parties used in election which we can hear in squares, streets, television, radio is one of the communication tools. the research hypothesis is the election song affects the voters in different way. the aim of the research is to determine the affects of the election songs used by political parties during election periods. it was examined that how affects election of songs as a method of political communication and how it effects on voting behavior of these songs. a questionnaire consisting of 12 questions were applied to the random sampling method on the identified 412 people sitting in the center of the province of elazığ. the data obtained were analyzed with the spss program. as a result, it were defined what affect voting behavior of the selection songs. generally election songs have got roles such to obtain information, to attract attention, to recall, to mobilize voters, and to increase the political participation. the study showed that election songs were not directed to the voters to vote for a particular party. furthermore, election songs has been concluded that the affects as a factor to action and to increase political participation as well as helping to remind the political party.
