SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY: MEASUREMENT OF THE PUBLIC AND FOUNDATION UNIVERSITY STUDENTS’ PERCEPTIONS AND KNOWLEDGE LEVELS OF SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

The existing study deals with perception and knowledge level of social responsibility, corporate social responsibility (csr) issues and the effect of corporate social responsibility courses on their knowledge and conscience level about csr among the students in turkish higher education. the study has been carried out by means of descriptive scanning method. frequency, percentage and spearman tests have been conducted to 238 students from two public and two foundation universities in izmir. the theoretical part of the study deals with conceptional and historical level of csr and related with the existing turkish studies in the field. the article mostly handles the csr with the framework of csr education and practices in higher education. the analysis of the study reveals the fact that csr courses has a great effect on csr knowledge and perception of the students in turkish higher education.
