چکیده    This study aims to investigate the mechanisms through which the headlines on magazine covers construct female identities by utilizing linguistic and discursive strategies. to this end, this study analyzes the headlines appeared on the covers of the magazines published by dogan and burda media group and particularly focuses upon the presentation of the stereotypes of media discourse concerning the female consumers in diet and fashion news. the study covers 5 magazines, elele, lezzet, evim, seda magazin and burda, all published by dogan burda media group (dogan publishing ve burda gmbh partnership).
