   ON THE ISSUE OF COMMUNICATION, CON-COMMUNICATION AND ALIENATION WITHIN KAFKA’S TEXTS

چکیده    Franz kafka (1883-1924) as one of the best writers approaching to the issue of alienation has explained this phenomenon in his novels such as “the trial, the castle, the metamorphosis” as well as in his stories. it is known that living in city triggers alienation as a consequence of modern social life and this subject has been discussed in many areas of arts and literature. the alienation of today’s modern human from the private life and even social surroundings, living through fear and crisis, and bureaucracy’s ignorance of human personality caused by the time and energy consuming working life is explained by the term kafkaesque (peculiar to kafka) in our day. in his novel “the trial”, the chain of events that a man lived after being arrested unjustly is told. within our study, among from the most important components of modern daily life, communication, noncommunication and alienation is going to be revealed and discussed based on kafka’s novels and stories. furthermore, the bureaucracy theory of max weber and karl marx’s alienation concept are other issues that could be seen in kafka’s texts. considering all these notions, personal communication and non-communication levels of the characters in his texts will be analyzed within the effect of alienation issue.
