PUBLIC RELATIONS AND SOCIAL MEDIA PRACTICES IN PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION

The article analyzes social media through its application in public relations of public administration. with its structure based on dialog, social media offers mass communication instruments that are part of the two-way communication model of public relations. the article examines the practices of government a bodies by focusing on four main applications of social media namely; blogs, micro-blogs, social networks and forums. as for methods of public relations to be used in social media, the article recommends social media press release, social media practices and monitoring of forums and blogs.
