A FIELDWORK IN THE PERSPECTIVE OF INDIVIDUAL CONNOTATION OF COLOUR PHENOMENON WITH REGARD TO INTERPERSONAL COMMUNICATION: THE SAMPLE OF GAZİANTEP

Intra-personal communication which is the micro level of human being communication is related to not only the psychological structure of someone else, but also the elements as location, family and friendship relations. in addition to this, colours clue in personality traits, emotions and thoughts for the social life of a person. in this study, a fieldwork which is intended for perception of colours as an element of intra-personal communication in the sample of gaziantep. a data analysis is related to inner communication on colours is done. the conclusions of survey application which was done in gaziantep that is known as a cosmopolitan city are evaluated by using spss programme. in reference to the findings of the research, the data of the colour connotation substantially resemble the evaluation of scientific literature. in addition to this, a significant correlation is observed between gender and the best-loved and the most unlovable colour. another important conclusion of the research, the best-loved colour for a respondent can be the most unlovable one for another respondent. the study aims creating psychological and sociopsychological data.
