THE NEWS AGENCIES IN AZERBAIJAN IN THE PERIOD OF SOVIET UNION AND AFTER

As a whole other fields the news agencies of the soviet union countries which were the propaganda tool of moscow based news agency, namely sita, were under the central authority during the soviet union. new private news agencies have been established after collapsing of the union and after getting independency of former union countries. the news agencies that have experience in both during and post soviet period, are in the center of this study. the activities of azertac in soviet and post soviet period and the new agencies, established after getting independency are under scrutiny. the research of the structure and activity of such agencies as azertac, which since establishing date realized its activity as a branch of sita under the names azerta, azerinform in the 70 year soviet union under the rule of central office, nowadays working as an official news agency of independent azerbaijan as a fundamental news agency of the country and also new agencies as turan, apa are the main point of the study.
