It is vital to prefer ecological materials by constructors in today’s market. ecological construction materials not only offer low energy consumption during their lifecyle but also gives no harm to human health and environment during the period of manufacturing raw materials, processing, using, maintenance and repairing and also waste management. considering cement’s high cost and negative impact on the environment, the need for the alternative material research emerges. as a result of kyoto protocol and similar western agreements, there has been some limitations to greenhouse gas (ghg) emission. those limitations also have an impact on global cement industry which holds 5-10% of the whole ghg emissions in the world. according to the terms and conditions of these agreements, cement manufacturers of member nations aims to use natural pozzolans which not only offer low cost and technological advantage but also have no ghg emission as well as renewing manifacturing technology. in this context, ecological effects of natural puzzolans (zeolite, perlite, dolomite, and colemanite) used as an additive material in cement and the mechanical properties of production cement mortar was replaced with cem i 42,5 r in ratio % 0, % 10 and % 20 by weight were evaluated. 28-days of flexural and compressive strength test results are analyzed; has been found that the highest values dolomite addition samples, the lowest values colemanite addition samples.
