Thermal Energy Storage Methods and Application in Buildings

In buildings most of energy consumption is consumed by climatization applications. it is possible to decrease energy consumption in buildings by using the energy efficiently. building insulation, using energy efficient home appliances, renewable energy applications in buildings are some of the many efficiency increasing precautions as well as using heat energy by storage that also decreases building energy comsumption. to this end, in this study, heat energy storage methods; storage in fluids, storage in solids, seasonal storage, chemical storage and energy storage in phase change materials and the points to receive attention in the choice of these methods are stated.
