چکیده
|
Despite the fact that it is no longer used in the contemporary turkish of turkey, this article illustrates the existence of the old turkish verb édermek in historical turkish texts. the phonological, morphological and semantic changes of the verb édermek in historical turkish languages has been exposed through comparative linguistics. of all ancient turkish period texts, the aforementioned word - found only in ancient uygur period texts as (y)edär-, has maintained its existence in the karahan and harezm texts and an adverb ederu has been derived from the verb edernek in the harezm period. the phone /d/ has developed into the phone /y/ in old anatolian turkish and kipchak texts. the verb was not read correctly in old anatolian texts in particular, and was not found in the tarama dictionary which included the vocabulary found in texts of this specific period. following research carried out on historical texts, it has been displayed that the verb edermek has been misread in countless texts.
