چکیده    This study tries to find out and explain personal names that have entered into georgian language from turkish at different times. we observe that those names which passed from anatolian turkish, azeri turkish and caucasian turkic languages (karachai, balkar and kumuk) mainly belong to these fields: personal names that reflect animal names (zooname), names that express racial roots, social terms, terms that define relative relations, professional terms and also terms that reflect religious meanings and carry charismatic meanings. after the spread of islam within turkish tribes, originally turkish personal names were mostly replaced by islamic names. despite this transformation, some of the turkish names that kept surviving, especially those that have charismatic meanings, in time have entered into georgian as well. in addition, it is observed that some of turkish words that are consisted of nouns, adjectives, adverbs, and compound nouns have also entered to georgian as personal names.
