Presentatıon of Interdıscıplınary Approach For Treatıng A Class II Patıent With Enamel Dysplasia: A Case Report

This case report describes the diagnosis and treatment of a young female patient with enamel dysplasia and class ii malocclusion with impacted maxillary canines using a combined orthodonticprosthodontic approach. a 15-year-old girl with enamel dysplasia was referred to the ankara university school of dentistry department of orthodontics clinic. she was concerned about the poor appearance of her teeth. the patient presented a major esthetic abnormality of the teeth and required orthodontic treatment prior to a prosthetic solution with full-coverage all-ceramic crowns in the maxilla. initially, the class ii malocclusion, impacted tooths were treated orthodontically. favorable changes were noted in the occlusion and in the smile. class i canine and molar relationships with ideal overjet and overbite were achieved. the maxillary canines were erupted successfully, with healthy gingival tissue. later,all-ceramic crowns for maxillary anterior teeth were fabricated for final restorations. esthetic expectations of the patient were successfully attained by pl acingallporcelain crowns from lateral to lateral in maxillary arch, 4 crowns total. at the end of treatment, function and esthetics were improved to a level acceptable to both the patient and the dental team.
