Evaluating the Views of Parents with Children Studying at Elementary School upon School Reports

The research was carried out in order to determine the views of parent with children studying at elementary schools upon school reports. the study group included the parents of children studying at different grades in two schools determined with random sampling method from the elementary schools in erzincan provincial center. into the research, 200 parents were included. the questionnaire form including open-ended questions developed by the researcher was used. in the questionnaire form, questions related to determining the school report views, final grade, behavior assessment and questions upon determining the views related to the visual design of the school report were included. in research findings, it was concluded that parents had positive views upon school reports, most of the parents considered that school reports’ views section did not include adequate information on development of children, behavior expressions were general and limited, and school reports should be printed in colors and embellished more.
