چکیده
|
رسالۀ السفیر فی الهیئه از جمله رساله‌های مختصر هیئت است که غیاث‌الدین منصور دشتکی، دانشمند بزرگ دورۀ صفوی، آن را در سال 906ق تالیف کرده است. بررسی آن از چند منظر اهمیت دارد: اول، این رساله از جمله آخرین کتاب‌هایی است که در ادامۀ سنت هیئت‌نگاری در دورۀ اسلامی نوشته شده است. دوم، این رساله در دوره‌ای تالیف شده که ازآن به دورۀ افول علم اسلامی تعبیر می‌شود. سوم، در این کتاب، بر خلاف رویۀ کتاب‌های مختصر هیئت، به اشکالات الگوهای بطلمیوسی و راه‌حل‌های دیگران و دشتکی اشاره شده است. مقالۀ حاضر به بررسی شخصیت علمی دشتکی و معرفی رسالۀ السفیر فی الهیئه می‌پردازد. بررسی محتوای این رساله نشان می‌دهد که آن یک کتاب هیئت استاندارد، مختصر، مبتنی بر هیئت بطلمیوسی و درسنامه‌ای است که برای آموزش همگانی نجوم نوشته شده بود. ویژگی مهم آن بیان اشکالات نجوم بطلمیوسی و تاریخچۀ حلّ آنها است که ظاهراً برای تشویق خواننده به خواندن آثار پیشرفته‌تر دشتکی و آشنایی با راه‌حل‌های او بوده است.

Abstract
|
AlSafīr fī alHayʾa is a short treatises in “Hayʾa” written in 1500 A.D. /906 AH, by Ghīyāth alDīn Manṣūr Dashtakī, a great scholar of Safavid period. It is important to study this treatise because in the first place, it is one of the latest “Hayʾa” books written after many other books in this subject. In the second place, it is written in the period usually considered as the period of decline of Islamic science. And finally, unlike other short “Hayʾa” books, it includes a discussion of the difficulties of Ptolemaic planetary models, with some hints to the author’s or the other scholars’ solutions. This paper studies Dashtaki’s scientific character and introduces AlSafīr fī alHayʾa with a descriptive analytical approach. A study of its contents shows that this treatise is a standard, brief, and instructional textbook based on Ptolemaic planetary models. The distinctive feature of this book is its presentation of the difficulties of Ptolemaic planetary models and the history of their solutions, apparently to persuade the scholars to study Dashtaki’s other advanced works on “Hayʾa” and getting to know his solutions
