بررسی رابطه‌ی بین هم‌خوانی تیپ شخصیتی و رشته‌ی تحصیلی با اعتیاد به سیگار در دانشجویان پزشکی

مقدمه: با توجه به افزایش روزافزون مصرف سیگار در سطح جامعه و به ویژه دانشجویان پزشکی، یافتن دلایل این رفتار حائز اهمیت می باشد. از این‌رو، این مطالعه با هدف تعیین ارتباط هم‌خوانی تیپ شخصیتی و رشته‌ی تحصیلی با اعتیاد به سیگار در دانشجویان پزشکی دانشگاه علوم پزشکی ایران انجام شد.روش‌ها: مطالعه ی مقطعی با استفاده از چک‌ لیست اطلاعات جمعیت‌شناختی و پرسش‌نامه‌ی‌ شغلی شخصیتی هالند، در سال 1403 صورت گرفت.440 نفر از دانشجویان سال سوم، چهارم و پنجم پزشکی با نمونه‌گیری تصادفی طبقه‌ای وارد مطالعه شدند. داده ها از طریق حضور درکلاس‌های درسی و توزیع چک‌لیست و پرسش‌نامه میان افراد جمع‌آوری شد. بر مبنای ویژگی‌های شغلی شخصیتی موجود در دیکشنری کدهای شخصیتی هالند، هم‌خوانی رشته تحصیلی و تیپ شخصیتی ارزیابی شد و با استفاده از نرم افزارspss  نسخه 16مورد تحلیل قرار گرفت.یافته ها: از میان 402 دانشجوی تکمیل‌کنند‌ه‌ی پرسش‌نامه، 246 نفر (61/2 درصد) مرد بودند. مصرف سیگار توسط 12/4 درصد از دانشجویان گزارش شد. 48/7 درصد، هم‌خوانی کم یا عدم هم‌خوانی بین رشته و تیپ شخصیتی را نشان دادند. بیشترین فراوانی مربوط به تیپ شخصیتی جستجوگر بود که 36/3 درصد از نمونه را تشکیل می‌داد. بین تیپ شخصیتی و مصرف سیگار ارتباط معناداری وجود نداشت (0/337=p)؛ همچنین ارتباط معنا‌داری بین هم‌خوانی تیپ شخصیتی و رشته تحصیلی و مصرف سیگار مشاهده نشد (0/361=p).نتیجه‌گیری: اگرچه ارتباط معناداری میان هم‌خوانی تیپ ‌شخصیتی و رشته‌ی تحصیلی با مصرف سیگار یافت نشد، اما با توجه به اینکه حدود نیمی از دانشجویان، ‌هم‌خوانی ‌کم یا عدم‌هم‌خوانی بین تیپ ‌شخصیتی با رشته‌ی تحصیلی داشتند  و همچنین اهمیت تاثیر عدم رضایت ‌شغلی بر کیفیت زندگی و گرایش ‌افراد به سیگار، پیشنهاد می شود هنگام گزینش افراد برای ورود به رشته‌ی تحصیلی، از آزمون های شخصیت‌سنج مثل هالند نیز استفاده شود. همچنین دانشگاه‌ها می توانند با آگاهی بخشی ‌از طریق ‌اتخاذ سیاست‌‌ها و برنامه‌های ‌مختلف، تمایل به ‌سیگار را در دانشجویان کاهش ‌دهند.

investigating the relationship between personality type and field of study with smoking addiction in medical students

introduction: the increasing prevalence of cigarette smoking among people, especially medical students, finding the reason of this behavior is very important. therefore, the present study aimed to determine the relationship of the correspondence between personality type and field of study with smoking among medical students at iran university of medical sciences.methods: this cross-sectional study utilized a demographic information checklist and holland’s occupational personality questionnaire to employ a survey in 2024. a total of 440 medical students from the third, fourth, and fifth years were selected via the stratified random sampling method. data were collected in classroom settings by distributing the checklists and questionnaire, and based on the occupational personality traits found in the holland personality code dictionary, the compatibility of academic field and personality type was assessed by spss software version 16.  results: out of 402 respondents, 246 (61.2%) were male. regular cigarette use was reported by 12.4% of participants. furthermore, 48.7% of students exhibited little to no compatibility between their field of study and personality type. the investigative personality type was the most prevalent, accounting for 36.3% of the sample. there was no significant relationship between personality type and smoking (p=0.337). moreover, the correspondence between personality type and field of study exhibited no significant relationship with smoking addiction (p=0.361).conclusion: while the study did not uncover a significant link between personality type and field of study with smoking, and given that about half of the students had little or no match between their personality type and their field of study also, impact of job dissatisfaction on quality of life  and tendency to smoking,it is suggested that personality assessments tests, such as holland’s, was used for selecting students in academic field . moreover, universities by adopting policies and various awareness programs aimed at reducing smoking behavior among students.
