چکیده
|
به گواه تاریخ، دوره پهلوی دوم در تاریخ معاصر ایران، یکی از پرواقعه ترین دوران ها بوده است که افراد و شخصیت های زیادی با عملکردهای مختلف در وقوع جریان های سیاسی و حوادث تاریخی آن نقش داشته اند. خانم «لمبتون» فارغ‌التحصیل رشته زبان های شرقی از دانشگاه آکسفورد انگلستان، یکی از چهره های موثر در تنظیم سیاست انگلستان در رابطه با ایران در فاصله سال های 1320-1332 بوده است. گزارش های او به دولت متبوعش در طول این سال ها چهره روشنی از سیاست های بریتانیا در خاورمیانه و ایران را نشان می د هد. هدف از پژوهش حاضر با استفاده از مرور مقالات و منابع کتابخانه ای و با رویکرد توصیفی تحلیلی، بازخوانی نقش سیاسی خانم لمبتون در تاریخ معاصر ایران است. واقعیت این است که خانم لمبتون در قامت اندیشمند و سیاستمداری آگاه به فرهنگ ایران، در طول سال‌های ماموریتش با رفتار آگاهانه خود، کنشگری فعال برای دست‌یابی انگلیسی‌ها به مطامع خود بوده است و استعمار انگلیس، برای حفظ منافع خود در رقابت با دولت آلمان، از هیچ اقدام مداخله گرانه ای فروگذار نمی کرده است.

Abstract
|
According to history, the second Pahlavi period in the contemporary history of Iran has been one of the most eventful periods in which many individuals and personalities with different functions have played a role in political and historical events. Ms. Lambton, a graduate of Oriental Studies at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom, was one of the most influential figures in shaping British policy toward Iran between 13201332. Her reports to her government over the years show a clear picture of British policy in the Middle East and Iran. The purpose of this study is to review the political role of Ms. Lambton in the contemporary history of Iran by reviewing articles and library resources and with a descriptiveanalytical approach. The fact is that Ms. Lambton, as a thinker and aware politician about Iranian culture, during her years of mission, with her conscious behavior, has been an active member for the British to achieve their ambitions and British colonialism did not neglect from any interventionist action to protect its interests in competition with the German government.
