چالش‌ شکل و محتوا در اقتباس نمایشی از داستان‌های مرکب؛ با تمرکز بر دو اثر مد و مه و تابستان همان‌سال

اقتباس نمایشی از ادبیات روایی، همواره یکی از مهم‌ترین مباحث چالش‌برانگیز پیش‌ روی نویسندگان بوده‌است. این چالش در دورۀ مدرن و پسامدرن که مفهوم روایت به چالش کشیده شده و سبک‌های ادبی در شکل‌های متنوع‌تری پدید آمد بیشتر شد. در این دوران تمایل برای دستمایه ‌قرار دادن آثار ادبی در سینما و تئاتر ضرورت شکل و فرم را پیش کشید و در نتیجه زمینه‌ای مهم برای پژوهش‌های ادبی و نظریه‌پردازی فراهم آمد. در این جستار، با توجه به اهمیتِ متون ادبی، کوشش شده به مطالعۀ راهکارهایی برای اقتباس از داستان‌های مرکّب پرداخته شود، با این پرسش که چالش‌های اصلی اقتباس از داستان‌های مرکّب چیست و چگونه می‌توان قرائتی نمایشی از این ژانر ادبی داشت. سوالِ فرعی این است که درام چگونه می‌تواند اندیشه‌ای را که به مددِ کلمه بیان می‌‌شود، در قالب کردار و کنش دراماتیک بازنمایی نماید؟ گمان بر این است بهره‌گیری از نظریه‌های نوین در زمینۀ ساخت‌ و فرم نمایشی می‌تواند راهگشا باشد. روش پژوهش، توصیفی- تحلیلی است و داده‌ها با مراجعه به منابع کتابخانه‌ای گردآوری شده‌است. الگوهای نظری مگی ‌دان و آن ‌موریس در زمینۀ شناخت رُمان مرکّب و نظریات سام اسمایلی در باب ساختارهای نوین نمایشی مورد توجه قرار گرفته‌است. نتایج این مطالعه نشان می‌دهد در چالش اقتباس از روایت‌های ادبی مدرن که زبان عنصر اصلی و مشترک میان متن ادبی و متن نمایشی است، کشف مناسباتِ فُرمی که بتواند در قالب نظامی از نشانه‌ها متن ادبی را به درام پیوند دهد، راهکاری مناسب خواهد بود.

The Challenge of Form and Content in Dramatic Adaptation of Iranian Composite Novel; With a Focus on Two Selected Fictional Narratives (the Fog and the Low Tide and Summer of the Same Year)

The process of dramatic adaptation of fictional narratives has always been considered as one of the most significant problems for playwrights. This challenge provided new capabilities for literary studies after the modern period, particularly when literary styles developed in more various forms and the awareness to adapt literary works in Film and Theater gradually increased. In this essay, we attempted to propose a new conceptual model for adapting Iranian Composite Novels by posing the question of what the main challenges of this type of creative adaptation might be, and how to present a dramatic interpretation of this unconventional literary genre. Our initial assumption is that the use of new theories related to dramatic form and structure can provide a new explanation to the theoretical problem of this research. The research is done by a descriptive-analytical method and the data was collected by referring to library sources. Our theoretical approach to the problem is inspired by Maggie Dunn and Ann Morris’s views on the nature of the Composite Novel (1995) and Sam Smiley’s interpretations on new dramatic structures (2005). The results of this study confirm that in the challenge of adapting modern fictional narratives, where language is the common device for exchanging signs between literary source text and dramatic target text, formulating new forms of dramaturgical adaptation will be a suitable explanation.
