گسترش بیماری‌های انگلی به عنوان تهدیدی جدی برای صنعت پرورش ماهیان زینتی: بررسی میزان شیوع انگل آرگولوس (Argulus) در ماهیان زینتی ایران

پرورش ماهیان زینتی آب شیرین یک سرگرمی محبوب در سراسر جهان محسوب می شود. با توجه به اینکه ماهیان زینتی ایران عمدتاً از کشورهای اندونزی، مالزی، تایلند و ویتنام وارد می شوند، بنابراین امکان انتقال گونه های انگلی مختلف به واسطه واردات این ماهیان وجود دارد. گونه های متعلق به جنس آرگولوس (argulus) از مهم ترین انگل های خارجی می باشند که در ماهیان زینتی مانند گلدفیش (carassius auratus) و کوی (cyprinus carpio) شناسایی شده اند. این ماهیان زینتی علاوه بر اینکه به عنوان میزبان برای گونه های آرگولوس عمل می کنند، با ورود به آبهای طبیعی نیز امکان انتقال بسیاری از انگل ها به ماهیان بومی را افزایش می دهند. از اینرو، با توجه به اهمیت این موضوع، مطالعه حاضر با هدف بررسی شیوع انگل های آرگولوس در ماهیان زینتی و ماهیان آبهای داخلی ایران انجام شده است. اطلاعات ارائه شده در این مطالعه می تواند به منظور کنترل و جلوگیری از انتقال گونه های انگلی مانند آرگولوس به اکوسیستم های آبزی مورد استفاده قرار گیرد.

Prevalence of parasitic diseases as a serious threat to the ornamental fish industry: A study on the prevalence of Argulus parasites in ornamental fishes of Iran

Ornamental freshwater fish farming is a popular pastime around the world. Considering that Iran's ornamental fish are mainly imported from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam, there is the possibility of the transmission of parasite species through the import of these fish. Species belonging to the genus Argulus are one of the most important ectoparasites that have been identified in ornamental fish imported to Iran such as goldfish (Carassius auratus) and koi carp (Cyprinus carpio). These ornamental fish, in addition to being hosts for the species of Argulus, also increase the possibility of transmission of many parasites to native fishes by releasing to natural waters. Considering the importance of this issue, this study aimed to investigate the prevalence of Argulus in the ornamental and native fishes of Iran. The information presented in this study can be used to control and prevent the transmission of parasite species such as Argulus to aquatic ecosystems.
