تاثیر نقطه‌ی شروع امتیازدهی در مقیاس لیکرت بر یافته‌های توصیفی و تحلیلی حاصل از پرسش‌نامه

اهداف: برای انتخاب مبدا امتیازدهی در مقیاس لیکرت در ابزار پرسش‌نامه‌ای، توافق یکسانی وجود ندارد. این مطالعه با هدف بررسی تاثیر تبدیل مبدا امتیازدهی بر شاخص‌های گرایش به مرکز، پراکندگی و آزمون آماری تی مستقل اجرا شد.روش ‌‌‌کار: در پژوهش حاضر، علاوه بر بررسی تاثیر تبدیل مبدا امتیازدهی به‌صورت استنباطی، با ذکر یک مثال، به مقایسه‌ی نتایج تبدیل مبدا پرداخته شد. در این پژوهش، مقیاس لیکرت چهاررده‌ای با مبدا امتیازدهی صفر و یک در نظر گرفته شد. همچنین، فرض شد که فاصله‌ی بین رده‌های مقیاس لیکرت برابرند. از آزمون تی مستقل برای مقایسه‌ی میانگین امتیازها در دو گروه استفاده شد.یافته‌ها: نتایج پژوهش حاضر نشان داد که تبدیل مبدا امتیازدهی از یک به صفر در مقیاس لیکرت، تنها به تفاوت در مقدار شاخص‌های گرایش به مرکز منجر می‌شود؛ درحالی‌که شاخص‌های پراکندگی و آماره و نتیجه‌ی آزمون آماری در هر دو شیوه‌ی امتیازدهی، تفاوتی نخواهند داشت.نتیجه‌گیری: درصورتی‌که توزیع مجموع امتیازها در پرسش‌نامه‌ای نرمال باشد، تغییر مبدا امتیازدهی از یک به صفر تاثیری بر نتیجه در آزمون تی مستقل و انحراف معیار ندارد و تنها شاخص‌های گرایش به مرکز در دو نظام امتیازدهی متفاوت خواهند بود.

studying the effect of likert’s scale starting point on descriptive and analytical findings of questionnaire

objectives: there is currently no consensus on transformation of the starting point of scoring on the likert’s scale in questionnaires. this study aimed to investigate the effect of the transforming the starting point of scoring on the indices of central tendency, dispersion and the independent t-test.methods: the study employed inferential analysis to investigate the effects of transforming the origin of scoring, comparing the results through illustration. a 4-point likert’s scale, starting with scoring zero and one, was utilized. the independent t-test was used to compare the mean scores in two groups.results: the results of the study showed that transforming of the starting point of scoring from 1 to zero on likert’s scale only leads to a difference in the value of the tendency to the center. however, dispersion indices and statistical statistics did not showed any difference in both scoring methods.conclusion: changing the origin of scoring in the questionnaires, when total scores exhibit a normal distribution, has no impact on the independent t-test and standard deviation. the only significant affect includes difference on tendency to the center in two scoring systems.
