Abstract
life is one of the fundamental truths of creation. in the qur’an, the term “life” primarily refers to material existence; however, qur’anic discourse frames human life within both material and immaterial dimensions, encompassing spiritual life and eternal afterlife. the right to life signifies every human being’s entitlement to material existence at all stages—from conception to worldly life. using a descriptive, analytical, and documentary approach, this article examines the right to life or its deprivation from the human fetus in the light of the verses of revelation and the traditions of the ahl al-bayt. (pbut). the findings of the research indicate that humans are god’s creation; this divine creation has the sanctity and right to life; the unjustified deprivation of human life, regardless of religion, age, or gender, is an unforgivable error. the fetus, as a potential human being, is also endowed with the right to life. divine religions, particularly islam, encourage marriage, childbearing, and the proliferation of progeny, considering it a sacred and desirable act. thus, preserving the life of human beings—especially children as divine gifts—is both necessary and obligatory. the unjustified termination of life, especially of unborn children, contradicts religious teachings and the philosophy of human creation. the qur’an and certain narrations explicitly prohibit the killing of offspring out of fear of poverty and regard the act of murder and revocation of life as violations of human dignity.
