چکیده
|
This research presents the development of lightweight aggregate concrete using fine aggregate that is manufactured from waste polyethylene terephthalate (wpet) bottles. wpet with the average diameter of 1-3 mm was used with four different contents of 5%,10%,15% and 20% by weight. in comparison to the control concrete,the 90-day wpet concrete compressive strength showed that the use of wpet particles up to maximum replacement level of 10% produces concrete with acceptable strength. however,the ultimate strength of concrete was gained at 5% of cement replacement by weight. it is concluded that the replacement of cement with 5% wpet improves the compressive strength of concrete compared to the control concrete. © 2015 just. all rights reserved.
