Deducing the relative weight of design standards for urban spaces in valuable areas

Commitment to preserve heritage and achievements of humanity,protecting it against deterioration and loss,and working on its conservation and maintenance is considered as a national aim adopted by civilized countries and communities; it is a global principle as heritage belongs to humanity. laws are passed,regulations and legislations are issued,and projects are implemented to preserve and obligate the maintenance and preservation of heritage and all cultural symbols,civic and urban gatherings,squares,buildings,edifices,and landmarks that represents the outcomes and achievements of the past civilizations. one of these projects is the development project of el-khazendar square and reuses sednaoui building launched by national organization for urban harmony in a competition that was arbitrated and three best projects were selected to receive the first three awards. the significance of - this paper is to put a mechanism to evaluate these projects and conclude the relative weight of design standards for urban spaces in el-khazendar square,which were previously deducing from the previous research entitled design standards for urban spaces in valuable areas to be considered it when designing this kind of projects.
