Arrangement of the redundant observations for establishment of a GPS network using LP method

Observations are'defined as measurements made to determine unknown quantities; these observations are classified into two types: necessary and redundant observations. necessary observations are minimum number that is needed to determine the unknowns; redundant observations are those in excess of the necessary observations. traditionally,the arrangement or selection of redundant observations can be performed using either trial and error method or analytical methods. the main purpose of this paper is to study the use of an analytical method for the arrangement selection of redundant baselines observations for gps network. to demonstrate that,a gps geodetic network with 6 points has been established covering menofia govemorate area,egypt.
