The current study focuses on some issues pertaining to brick-mortar bond and masonry flexural and compressive strength. this research is directed to look for suitable mortar and identify its different compositions,quantify its efficiency,and evaluate its performance. the influence of bond strength on masonry compressive strength has been examined through an experimental program using clay/shale perforated bricks -and different mortars. brick-mortar bond strength has been determined through pull out direct tension
