تاثیر قیام جهیمان العتیبی بر حکومت سعودی

هدف پژوهش حاضر بررسی تحولات عربستان و تغییر رویه حاکمان سعودی درپی قیام جهیمان العتیبی و اشغال مسجدالحرام در 1979 میلادی با روش توصیفی - تحلیلی بود. فرضیه پژوهش این است که  علت اصلی تغییر رفتار حاکمان سعودی قیام جهیمان العتیبی و زیر سوال رفتن مشروعیت حکومت آل سعود از سوی جریانی مذهبی آن هم به شکلی خاص و در زمانی حساس بود که سبب شد تا حکومت برای بازیابی خود به علمای تندرو امتیازهای زیادی بدهد و نیز رویکرد مصرفی شدن و غرب گرایی خود را به تقیّد و پایبندی بیش از پیش به دین تغییر دهد. این امر منجر به افزایش افراط گرایی در گفتمان داخلی و بین المللی سعودی و صدور افکار و هم‌فکران جهیمان به خارج از عربستان شد.

The Effect of Juhayman al-Otaybi’ Uprising on Saudi Government

The purpose of the present study is to survey the transformations in Saudi Arabia and the approach of Saudi rulers after the uprising of Juhayman alOtaybi and the occupation of Masjid aHaram in 1979. The method of study is descriptive analysis and the hypothesis is that the main reason of change in the performance of Saudi rulers was the uprising of Juhayman alOtaybi posing a challenge to the legitimacy of Saudi government by a religious movement in a particular way and sensitive time such that it made the establishment give many credits to its extremist clergymen and change its consumerist and western approach to puritanical and conservative adherence to religion. This approach led to extremism in national and international Saudi dialogues and exporting the thoughts of Juhayman to outside Saudi Arabia.
