قرن هجدهم میلادی شاهد آگاهی توده‌های مردم در جوامع گوناگون و اوجگیری فریادهای اعتراض نسبت به رژیم‌های حاکم بود. ​در بررسی سیر تحول جریان‌ها و مکتب‌های داستانی در ادبیات معاصر فارسی و عربی پژوهش‌هایی مختلف صورت گرفته اما دراین عرصه جای پژوهش‌های مقایسه ای خالی‌است. در این مقاله به بررسی این سیر در ادبیات داستانی معاصر فارسی و عربی پرداخته می شود؛ پس از تعریف مکتب، جریان و سبک در فارسی وعربی به تاثیرگذارترین جریان‌ها و مکتب‌های ادبی و نویسندگان مشهور آن در کشورهای عربی و ایران اشاره شده‌است. بررسی ها نشان می دهد که در ادبیات داستانی معاصر فارسی و عربی همسانی ها بیشتر از تفاوت ها بوده است و از نظر ادبی در مجموع چیرگی مکتب رئالیسم بیش از مکتب‌های دیگر در داستان نویسی این دو اجتماع بوده است. جریان های سیاسی، اقلیمی نویسی، زنانه نویسی و دو گرایش عمده رمان های تاریخی و اجتماعی از جریان‌ها و گرایش‌های نو ظهور در این دوره بوده است. همچنین باید گفت از جریان ادبیات مهاجرت که در داستان‌نویسی عربی رشدی چشمگیر دارد در ادبیات داستانی فارسی خبری نیست و ادبیات ملتزم یا متعهد در فارسی بسیار محدودتر از عربی است.

Comparison of the Schools and the Currents of Contemporary fiction in Iran and Arab countries

Since the beginning of the eighteenth century, the awareness of the masses increased in different societies and has sparked screams of protest over the ruling regimes. After the protest movements occurred in Iran and in the Arab countries, the authors of the course used the story as a good form to express the pain of the people and describe their tragic and sorrow lives. Since the late of eighteenth century to today fiction witnessed many developments and exposed to various ideas and theories. Moreover, while defining the current and the schools in Persian and Arabic has been mentioned to the most influential literary currents and schools and its famous writers in Arab countries and Iran. Studies shows that similarities are more than the differences in contemporary Persian and Arabic literary literature, and literally most of the schoolchr('39')s realism was the school of fiction writing in two communities. In terms of the trends that have emerged, the flow of political novels, climatology, feminization, and the two main tendencies of historical and social novels. The distinguishing differences in this comparison are the literature of immigration, which is discarded in Persian fiction, as well as the committed literature is much more limited in Iran than Arabic countries.
