پوسیدگی دندانی یکی از شایع ترین بیماری های دهان و دندان در کودکان است. پارامترهای بسیاری می توانند فرآیند پوسیدگی را تحت تاثیر خود قرار دهند.پوسیدگی زودرس کودکی فرم ویژه‌ای از پوسیدگی با الگوی مشخصی است که در کودکان کوچک‌تر رخ می‌دهد هدف از این مطالعه مروری بر مقالات موجود در زمینه پوسیدگی زودرس کودکی و روش‌های پیشگیری از آن است. مقالات، بیانیه‌ها، سایت‌های: scupos،google schoolar ،pubmed، انجمن دندانپزشکی کودکان آمریکا، انجمن پزشکی کودکان آمریکا، انجمن دندانپزشکی آمریکا جستجو شدند. اگر آگاهی مناسب به والدین داده  شود پوسیدگی زودرس دندانی در کودکان قابل‌کنترل و پیشگیری است.

   dental caries is one of the most incidence oral diseases in children. there are many factors can affect caries process .early childhood caries (ecc) is a particular form of dental caries occurring in young children in a distinct pattern.the aim of this study is to review the existing literature about early childhood caries and its prevention.articles, guidelines, and specific databases such as pubmed, scupos,googlecholar, american association of pediatric dentistry (aapd), american association of pediatrics (aap) and american dental association (ada) were searched for related topics cited.ecc can be prevented and managed if proper information to parent  in regards to prevention of this condition.
