در عصر آلودگی اطلاعات یا انفجار اطلاعات روزانه توسط کلی اطلاعات غیرمفید مورد احاطه قرار می گیریم که یک مدیریت هوشمندانه جهت تصمیم گیری خرد و کلان می تواند ما را در دستیابی به صحت و درستی اطلاعات در واقع با سازماندهی و کنترل ساختار ، ترکیب و پردازش ارائه اطلاعات نقش بسیار حائز اهمیتی را در این تصمیم گیری ایفا می کند. بنابراین شناخت مفهوم مدیریت اطلاعات در مقابله با آلوده شدن داده بسیار حیاطی به نظر می رسد.در این مقاله بعد از بیان مفهوم آلودگی اطلاعات و آشنایی با انواع آلودگی اطلاعات و پیامدهای آن به بیان مدیریت اطلاعات و انواع مدیریت اطلاعات که شامل مدیریت اطلاعات شخصی و مدیریت اطلاعات گروهی می شود می پردازیم سپس به نقش مدیریت اطلاعات و راهکارهای مناسب آن در مهار آلودگی اطلاعات اشاره می شود.هدف این است که مدیریت نمودن اطلاعات چگونه ما را در این راستا یاری می کند که در این مقاله به آن می پردازیم. بنابراین آگاهی از مسائل آلودگی اطلاعات باید گسترش یابد تا بتوان اطلاعات را به درستی مدیریت کرد.
