هدف مقاله حاضر بررسی الزامات تامین امنیت قفقاز جنوبی توسط جمهوری اسلامیایران با تاکید بر جمهوری آذربایجان است. روش مقاله حاضر پدیدارشناسی ترکیبی وبا متد کیفی، مصاحبه ای و تحلیل متون اجرا شده است. جامعه آماری را اساتید دانشگاهها و متخصصین وزارت امور خارجه تشکیل می دهند. مشارکت کنندگان به روش هدفمند و اشباع داده انتخاب و پاسخ سوالات با مصاحبه های اکتشافی به دست آمد است. نتایج نشان می دهد که ایران بر اساس مدل سیاست گذاری عقلایی در منطقه قفقاز، سیاست احتیاطی و مداراگرایانه را در پیش گرفته و سیاست امنیتی ایران بر پایه منافع و ملاحظات ژئوپلیتیکی و اقتصادی، بر اساس چهار مولفه؛ همکاری و همگرایی اقتصادی و کارکردی؛ مدیریت بحران و حل و فصل مسالمت آمیز مناقشه از طریق میانجی گری؛ موازنه سازی و توازن بخشی برونگرا و امنیت همکاری جویانه یا شراکتی بوده است. ایران به عنوان یک بازیگر منطقه ای فعال و با نفوذ که با دو کشور از سه کشور قفقاز دارای مرز مشترک است اهمیت و اولویت خاصی برای منطقه قفقاز در سیاست امنیتی خود قائل است و سیاست امنیتی ایران نسبت به قفقاز واقع بینانه و عمل گرایانه بود است .

the aim of this article is to examine the requirements for ensuring the security of the south caucasus by the islamic republic of iran, with an emphasis on the republic of azerbaijan. the method of this article is mixed phenomenology and qualitative methods, interviews, and text analysis. the statistical population consists of university professors and experts from the ministry of foreign affairs. participants were selected using a purposeful and data-saturated method and the answers to the questions were obtained through exploratory interviews. the results show that, based on the rational policy-making model in the caucasus region, iran has adopted a cautious and tolerant policy, and iran's security policy has been based on geopolitical and economic interests and considerations, based on four components: economic and functional cooperation and integration; crisis management and peaceful resolution of conflicts through mediation; outward-looking balancing and balancing, and cooperative or partnership security. as an active and influential regional actor that shares borders with two of the three caucasus countries, iran attaches special importance and priority to the caucasus region in its security policy, and iran's security policy towards the caucasus has been realistic and pragmatic.
