چکیده
|
Trauma is the leading nonobstetric cause of maternaldeath. the worst complication can be fetal compromisethat threatens premature labor or even fetal death. weare reporting a case of a 30-year-old primi, short staturewoman who had fracture femur with hypovolaemic shock.managing such trauma complicated by shock in a pregnantpatient needs multidisciplinary approach. clinician teamevaluating and coordinating the care of pregnant traumapatient should understand the pathophysiological changesin pregnancy with trauma to manage hypovolaemic shock, related complications, treatment of fracture, and radiationexposure to the fetus. the use of imaging studies, invasivehemodynamics and surgery, if necessary, should beindividualized. a clear understanding of fetal viability, physiological changes of pregnancy, and pathophysiologyof shock, is mandatory for optimal, maternal functional, andobstetrical outcome.
