ارتباطات میان‌فرهنگی به‌مثابه جریانی از تعدیل شخصیت و هویت‌های انسانی-اجتماعی (تحلیلی بر فیلم سینمایی هفت سال در تبت از منظر ارتباطات میان‌فرهنگی)

تصور مواجهه با دیگری، اغلب تصوری غریب است. ما هر اندازه هم که کنجکاو و مایل به کشف جهان های دیگر بوده و از تمنای چنین کشفی بر سر ذوق باشیم، اما نمی توانیم بر تمامی اضطراب ها، تردیدها و گاه حتی ترس های خویش فائق آئیم. این ترس ها در سطحی کلان، البته ممکن است به زودی ما را در لاک دفاعی یا حتی حالت تهاجمی قرار دهد و هیچ کم نیستند شواهدی در درازای تاریخ که موید چنین حالت هایی است. با این همه، با فرضِ ناگزیر ارتباطات میان فرهنگی در روزگار کنونی، می توان این ارتباطات را چونان جریانی از تعدیل شخصیت و هویت های انسانی-اجتماعی به شمار آورده و از این رو، بر گسترش آن در یک چارچوبِ فراگیر پای فشرد. بنابراین، مقاله حاضر مبتنی بر چنین نگاهی و بر اساس نوعی روش شناسی تفسیری، به دنبال فهم چگونگی این امر بوده است. در این راستا، با بهره گیری از فیلم سینمایی «هفت سال در تبت» که بر پایه داستانی واقعی ساخته شده است، نشان داده ایم که ارتباطات میان فرهنگی جدای از امکان شکوفایی هویت های چندوجهی، زمینه تعدیل خود شخص در نسبت با خودش و نیز، تعدیل نگاه او به دیگران را فراهم می سازد. این امر مراتب گوناگونی داشته و در صورت های مختلفی تجلی می یابد که در این مقاله به آن پرداخته خواهد شد.

intercultural communication as the process of modifying individual and social identities and personalities (an analysis of seven years in tibet from the perspective of intercultural communication)

the imagination of encountering others is often a strange one. as much as we are curious and eager to explore and discover other worlds, and as much as we rejoice over the desire for this discovery, we cannot overcome all our anxieties, doubts, and sometimes even fears. these fears may put us in a defensive or offensive position on a macro level, and there are great pieces of evidence for these positions throughout history. however, assuming that intercultural communications are inevitable today, these communications can be considered as a process of modifying individual and social personality and identity; thus, it can be expanded to an inclusive framework. therefore, this article is based on such a view. this article has sought to understand how this is done, using a kind of interpretive methodology. in this regard, using the film &seven years in tibet,& which is based on a real story, we have shown that intercultural communication, apart from the possibility of the development of multiple identities, also allows the person to modify one’s view of oneself and others. this issue, of course, has different levels and appears in different forms, which will be discussed in this article.
