تبیین عوامل موثر بر رضایتمندی دانشجویان خارجی از دانشگاه‌های علوم پزشکی: یک مطالعه کیفی

زمینه و هدف: با توجه به رقابت رو به رشد جهانی در بین کشورها و دانشگاه‌ها برای جذب دانشجویان خارجی، تبیین وضعیت رضایتمندی و شناسایی عوامل نارضایتی آنان در فرایند پذیرش و جذب تاثیر بسزایی دارد. لذا این مطالعه با هدف شناسایی عوامل نارضایتی دانشجویان خارجی در حال تحصیل در رشته‌های علوم پزشکی شهر تهران انجام شده است.روش بررسی: پژوهش حاضر یک مطالعه کیفی با رویکرد تحلیل محتوای قراردادی است. مشارکت‌کنندگان شامل 17 نفر از دانشجویان خارجی سه دانشگاه در نیمسال دوم تحصیلی 98-1397 بودند . روش نمونه‌گیری هدفمند با در نظر گرفتن حداکثرتنوع بود. داده‌ها از طریق مصاحبه‌های نیمه‌ساختاریافته انفرادی جمع‌آوری و به‌طور همزمان تحلیل بر اساس پنج‌گام گرانهایم (graneheim) انجام شد.یافته‌ ها: مصاحبه‌ها در بیش از 680 کد باز و در 6 طبقه و 25 زیر طبقه دسته‌بندی شد. نتایج نشان داد که عواملی مانند ضعف زبان، عدم حمایت‌های مالی، ضعف فرآیندی آموزشیدانشگاهی و مدیریتی، ضعف فرآیندی مشاوره و اطلاع رسانی، مشکلات رفاهی و برخوردها و رفتارها(تعاملات) نامناسب به عنوان عوامل و دلایل کلی نارضایتی دانشجویان ‌خارجی‌ حوزه‌ی ‌علوم ‌پزشکی می‌باشند.نتیجه ‌گیری: برای تقویت نظام جذب دانشجویان خارجی و رسیدن به جایگاه برتر در سطح منطقه و جهانی، بر اساس یافته‌های پژوهش می‌بایست مدیران و سیاست‌گذاران حوزه‌ی آموزش عالی به عواملی مانند تدریس به زبان انگلیسی، حمایت‌های مالی از دانشجویان، تقویت فرآیندی آموزشیدانشگاهی و مدیریتی، تقویت فرآیندهای مشاوره و اطلاع رسانی، رفع مشکلات رفاهی و تقویت رفتارهای مثبت و مناسب با دانشجویان به عنوان راهبردهای رفع نارضایتی دانشجویان خارجی حوزه‌ی ‌علوم پزشکی توجه ویژه‌ای داشته و در صدد رفع چالش‌ها باشند.

Determining Factors Affecting International Students’ Satisfaction among Iranian Medical Sciences Universities: A Qualitative Study

Background Objective Given the growing global competition between countries and universities to attract international students, determining the level of satisfaction of these individuals and factors involved in their dissatisfaction during the admission and attraction processes is of utmost importance. Therefore, this study aimed to identify the factors affecting the satisfaction of international students who are studying in medical Universities in Tehran, Iran.Materials and Methods: This qualitative research was performed with a conventional content analysis approach. Up to data saturation, 17 participants were selected from the international students of three universities in the second semester of the academic year of 20182019. The subjects were selected by purposeful sampling considering maximum diversity. In addition, data were collected via individual semistructured interviews and simultaneously analyzed based on Graneheim and Lundman analysis method.Results The interviews were classified in more than 680 open codes, six categories, and 25 subcategories. According to the results, the main factors for dissatisfaction of international medical students included low language proficiency, lack of financial support, weaknesses in academiceducational and managerial processes, and weaknesses in counseling and information processes, welfare problems and improper encounters and interactions.Conclusion: According to the results of the study, it is suggested that more attention be paid to the mentioned factors by higher education policymakers and managers and attempts be made to eliminate these challenges in order to strengthen the system of attracting international students and achieving a high position at the regional and global levels in this respect.
