بررسی انتقادی گزارش سفرنامه‌‌های اروپاییان دربارۀ صوفیان عصر صفوی

گزارش سیاحان اروپایی دربارۀ تصوف دوران صفویه، از آن جهت که فارغ از الزامات تاریخ‌نگاری رسمی نگارش یافته اند، جزئیاتی بدیع و ارزشمند را در بردارند. این مقاله که با شیوۀ توصیفیتحلیلی تالیف شده، می‌کوشد تا گزارش سیاحان را در مقایسه با آثار مخالفان، موافقان و پژوهشگران تصوف ارزیابی کند. نتیجه این که سیاحان به سبب اقامت محدود و مسیرهای مشخص، صوفیان بسیاری از مناطق ایران را ندیدند و لذا توصیفات آنها جامعیت ندارد. گزارش سیاحان عموماً نشانگر رویارویی مستمر دراویش نعمتی حیدری، انزواطلبی و لاابالی‌گری بعضی صوفیه، و وابستگی شماری از آنان به حاکمیت است. گردآوری وجوهات از رهگذران و اظهار کرامات نیز از جمله رفتارهای صوفیه ‌اند که اغلب مورد پیش‌داوری و تعمیم سیاحان قرار گرفته‌اند. بعضی خدمات صوفیه به جامعۀ شیعی و محبوبیت اولیای تصوف نزد مردم نیز مورد توجه سیاحان بوده است. البته تناقض‌هایی در گزارش سیاحان وجود دارد که احتمالاً ناشی از ذهنیت اروپایی و یا جهت‌دهی مترجمان است.

A Critical Review of the European Travelogues Reports on the Sufis of the Safavid Era

The European travelers' reports on the Sufiera Sufism contain exquisite and valuable details as they are written out of the requirements of official historiography. Designed in a descriptiveanalytical way, this article attempts to evaluate the reports of the travelers as compared to the works of dissidents, sympathizers, and Sufi scholars. The result showed that the travelers, due to their limited residence and specific routes, did not see the Sufis in many parts of Iran, and therefore their descriptions are not comprehensive. Travelers' reports generally indicate the continued confrontation of the NematiHeydari dervishes, the isolationism and remissness of some Sufis, and the dependence of a number of them on the government. Gathering money from passersby and expressing keramats are also Sufi behaviors that have often been prejudiced and popularized by the travelers. Some Sufi services to the Shiite community and the popularity of the Sufi guardians have also attracted the attention of the travelers. Of course, there are some contradictions in the reports of the travelers, which may be due to the European mentality or the orientation of the translators.
