Manusia dan Kuasa: Meneliti Politik Perpartian dalam Beberapa Novel Melayu 1970-an hingga 1980-an

This paper investigates partisan politics in some of malay novels written in 1970s to 1980s. the selected novels are sutan baginda and tunggul-tunggul gerigis by shahnon ahmad, juara by s.othman kelantan, tokoh terpilih by rahman shaari, and buai diayun anak dicubit by marwilis haji yusof. political issues were analysised from the politics of power perspective because the political world is by itself about the conflicts of ideas and group interest which involved power. based on this novels as the sources of data, it is found that partisan politics in the malay novels manifested the reality of life. these novels shade light that power struggle, hostility, conflict, lobbying, distortion, and maltreatment are realities that prevailed in real life, particularly in partician politics.
