چکیده    This paper discusses the acceptance of innovation performance evaluation of civil servants through the implementation of the government transformation program (gtp). through gtp,civil servants are required to aim higher than normal performance and challenge themselves to achieve it. since the achievement of higher goals require more effort to achieve,this study would identify how far civil servants,especially ukm academic staffs will accept this innovation and to what extent they agreed with the weighting assigned to each component evaluated. this study used a survey to ukm academic staffs ranging from teachers to the professors. the study found that the level of kpi acceptance by academic staffs are at a high level for all evaluated components. however,the agreement of kpi components ballast,as a whole is at a moderate level. in terms of kpi acceptance effect on work commitments,from three predictor variables that were tested,only educational component gives a significant effect (r2 =.274; p <.05) on work commitments. the other two components,namely,research and services are not significant. © 2016,universiti kebangsaan malaysia press. all rights reserved.
