انجمن‌های علمی و ترویج اخلاق حرفه‌ای علم در ایران

انجمن‌های علمی حسب مسئولیت‌های حرفه‌ای‌شان، در ترویج اخلاق علم نقش مهمی می‌توانند ایفا ‌کنند. اما این نقش انجمن‌های علمی  به ندرت  مورد توجه است. در این نوشتار به بررسی اقدامات و فعالیت‌های انجمن‌های علمی در ترویج اخلاق حرفه‌ای علم در ایران می‌پردازیم و سپس میزان تاثیرگذاری این فعالیت‌ها را با انجام پیمایش در میان انجمن‌های علمی در رشته‌های علوم انسانی، فنی و مهندسی، کشاورزی، علوم پایه، هنر و معماری و بین رشته‌ای جویا شدیم. نتایج پژوهش نشان می‌دهد، انجمن‌های علمی در ایران سوای تنوع رشته‌های‌شان، آرزومندانه، میزان اثربخشی فعالیت‌های متنوع انجمنی در زمینه ارتقای اخلاق علم را بسیار بالا ارزیابی می‌کنند، اما در عمل نسبت به بهبود وضعیت اخلاق علم فعالیت کافی ندارند. اخلاق علم برای بسیاری از انجمن‌های علمی در ایران، اگر چه پدیدۀ ناشناخته‌ای نیست اما عملا در حاشیه قرار دارد.

scientific associations and promotion of professional ethics in science in iran

depending on their professional responsibilities, scientific associations can play an important role in promoting the ethics of science, but this role of scientific associations has rarely received attention. in this manuscript, we investigated the measures and activities taken by scientific associations to promote the professional ethics in science in iran. we then evaluated the effectiveness of these activities by surveying among scientific associations in humanities, engineering, agriculture, basic sciences, art and architecture, and interdisciplinary majors. results showed that apart from the diversity in their majors, scientific associations in iran desirably evaluate the effectiveness of diverse association activities to be very high with regard to promoting the ethics of science. in practice, however, these associations do not possess adequate activity regarding the improvement of the status of ethics in science. the ethics of science for many scientific associations in iran is marginalized in practice, although it is not unknown.
