Authors delghandi nafiseh ,mohseni balasem
Abstract    introduction: the novel yomiyat motlagheh by haifa bitar is a post-modern novel written in the first person and is a criticism of the prevailing conditions in arab countries and its traditional and patriarchal atmosphere. the author of the story tries to express his annoyance with this situation through the meaning of the text and the creation of the characters. this novel, which was written by haifa bitar, a syrian doctor and writer who won the abolqasem shabi award, actually reflects the complicated situation of a doctor whose wife is in love with him at first, but the love gradually fades and turns into hatred. loving someone else makes him withdraw from his obligation in general and seek to divorce his wife, but it keeps him in a suspended state for about four years. in the meantime, the female character is attracted to another person, but she cannot marry him because she has not yet received a divorce stamp on her birth certificate. this caused her a scandal and made her family, who loved her in the past, abandon her. she is always struggling with problems, and this activates schemas in her. this novel depicts her suffering well. the female character writes her memoirs, and the name of the novel is derived from her diaries, in which she reveals her heartbreaks. methodology: in this research, which is a descriptive-analytical type, we will have a concrete view of the arab world, especially the syrian society, and look at its impact on the neurosis of the main character of the novel and the factors influencing the formation of schemas in him. also, we will uncover each and every conditional schema in the main character of the novel and criticize and analyze them by citing examples. the neurotic character of the story gives us the possibility to look at the main character of the novel with a psychotic perspective and analyze jeffrey young's conditional schemas in him. results and discussion: the main character of the novel suffers from emotional inhibition, obedience, self-sacrifice, and stubborn standards. the schema of emotional inhibition forces his parents to be silent in the face of oppressive laws, not support him in emotional crisis situations, and have no empathy with him. this means the rule of silence instead of empathy and support, as well as a cold and unloving wife who has caused him resentment. there is an obedience schema due to the parents being overly strict on him. their love becomes conditioned when he does not behave according to their wishes and when he engages in forbidden love and gets divorced. between them, there arises emotional divorce first. as he points out many times, he eats alone, his only happiness is his young child. his father first takes his eyes from him, and then puts a seal of silence on his mouth; silence reigns between them. also, the pattern of self-sacrifice, self-sacrifice, and self-sacrifice also arises from the negligence, blame, and aggression of the ex-wife and her parents. stubborn standards and extreme criticism come from the fact that she was constantly under the control and support of her parents in her life so that she would not make a mistake. she wants everything to be in order with an extreme vision. hence, there is a significant correlation between the schema of sacrifice and obedience. conclusion: the results of this research indicate that the main character of the novel suffers from emotional inhibition, obedience, self-sacrifice, and stubborn standards among the types of conditional schemas. according to the origin of these schemas, the parents' lack of support for him in emotional and crisis situations leads to silence (emotional inhibition), conditioning parents' love (obedience), blaming of the parents, the ex-wife's aggression (sacrifice), and being under parental control (stubborn standards/extreme criticism). the novel yomiyat motlagheh is a post-modern novel written in the first person and depicts the memories of a divorced woman who has suffered a lot. the importance of this research is because the neurotic character of the story makes it possible to look at the main character of the novel with a psychological perspective and analyze the conditional schemas of jeffrey young in him. it is especially important in the syrian society and for its impact on the neurosis of the main character of the novel and the effective factors in the formation of schemas in him. the novel also reveals each and every conditional schemas in the main character by mentioning examples and analyzing them. the results of this research indicate that the main character of the novel suffers from emotional inhibition, obedience, self-sacrifice, and stubborn standards among the types of conditional schemas. according to the origin of these schemas, the parents' lack of support for him in emotional and forced crisis situations leads to silence (emotional inhibition), conditioning parents' love (obedience), blaming parents and ex-wife's aggression (sacrifice) and being under parental control (stubborn standards and extreme criticism).
