تحلیل نمایشنامه ی «قدموس» با تاکید بر مولفه های شرق شناسانه ی ادوارد سعید

شرق شناسی از بسترهای نوین پژوهشی علوم انسانی است که با استفاده از دست مایه هایی نظیر تحلیل ساختاری، تبیین مبانی نظری، عملی و نقد اندیشه‌، کوشیده تا خوانشی جدید از ادبیات، فرهنگ و باورهای شرق را عرضه دارد. گستردگی موضوعات و تنوع منابع، مجالی برای شرق شناسان پدید آورده تا مواد کافی برای پژوهش‌های خود داشته باشند که از جمله این مواد، «نمایشنامه» است. نمایشنامه ی «قدموس» نوشته ی «سعید عقل»، از جمله نمایشنامه‌هایی است که با توجه به موضوع، قابلیت انطباق با مهمترین مولفه‌های شرق شناسی ادوارد سعید را دارد. ماده ی اولیه این نمایشنامه، در قالب اسطوره ای یونانی به نام اروپا است و سعید عقل به مثابه شاعری نمادگرا و مهم تر از آن به عنوان شاعر لبنانی، کوشیده تا با به نظم کشیدن آن، به تمدن لبنان ببالد. پژوهش حاضر با روش توصیفیتحلیلی، به بررسی نمایشنامه ی مذکور می پردازد و کوشیده است تا ضمن ارائه ی کلیاتی از مبانی نظری شرق شناسی، نمایشنامه ی قدموس را بر اساس دیدگاه های شرق شناسانه ی ادوارد سعید نظریه پرداز فلسطینی مورد مداقّه قرار دهد. نتایج تحقیق نشان می دهد که نمایشنامه ی حاضر به رغم شکل ساختاری و نکات ادبی، از حیث محتوا صبغه ای استعماری دارد که در اثر غفلت‌ورزی فرهنگی سعید عقل بازتولید شده است. این اثر می‌کوشد تا از طریق گفتمان شرق شناسانه ی غربی و با ایجاد روحیه ی خودباختگی فرهنگی در قلب اروپا، زمینه ی استحاله ی فرهنگی را فراهم سازد. نکته ی قابل توجه در شخصیت اروپا این است که وی به عنوان یک زن در تفکر یونانی و غربی، نماد عقیده و سرزمین است.

Analyzing the Play Cadmus Using the Orientalist Components Proposed by Edward Said

Undoubtedly, Orientalism is one of the new fields of research in human sciences. Through such techniques as structural analysis, explanation of theoretical and practical foundations, and thought criticism, it seeks to provide a new reading of the literature, culture and beliefs of the East. The wide range of topics as well as the diversity of resources has made it possible for Orientalists to have enough material for their research. Among these materials is the genre of play, which is widely used in the East. The play Cadmus by Said Akl, a Lebanese literary figure, has a kind of subject that lends itself to the most important components of Orientalism set by Edward Said. The present study uses a descriptiveanalytic method to examine the play. The subject matter of this play is a Greek myth called Europa. Said Akl, as a symbolic poet and, more importantly, as a Lebanese poet, has tried to brag about the Lebanese civilization by versifying that work of literature, although he has neglected the strategic and Oriental goals of Western mythology. The present study attempted to provide a comprehensive overview of the theoretical foundations of Orientalism, following the views of Edward Said, a Palestinian Orientalist theorist. The results of the research show that the play, in spite of its structural form and literary points, has a colonial content reproduced by Said Akl’s cultural negligence. The play seems to transform the cultural myth through projecting a lack of cultural selfesteem in the heart of Europa as the main character of the play. This occurs through a Western orientalist discourse. The significant feature of Europa’s personality is that she is a symbol of faith and land as a woman in the Greek and Western thought.
