تحلیل مفهوم آگاهی از دیدگاه ملاصدرا و پیوند‌گرایی

مسئله ی آگاهی از مهم‌ترین مسائل تاریخ فلسفه است. به دلیل دشواری تعریف آگاهی برخی فیلسوفان آن را به آگاهی پدیداری، آگاهی دسترسی، خودآگاهی و آگاهی نظارتی تقسیم کرده اند. فیلسوفانی مانند ملاصدرا که آگاهی (علم) را به نفس نسبت می دهند و بر این اساس ویژگی های مربوط به آگاهی را تبیین می کند، تمام اقسام آگاهی را به امری فراتر ماده نسبت می دهد. از این رو از دیدگاه وی نمی توان آگاهی را به ماده تقلیل داد. این در حالی است که نظریات فیزیکالیستی مانند نظریه ی پیوند گرایی آگاهی را به ماده نسبت می‌دهند. طبق نظر پیوند گرایان می توان آگاهی را با استفاده از شبکه های عصبی مصنوعی تبیین کرد. اما این نظریه بر خلاف ادعای خود ناتوان از تبیین اقسام و ویژگی های آگاهی است. در این نظریه دلیلی که باعث می شود آگاهی را به شبکه‌های عصبی نسبت دهند این است که آگاهی را مساوی با پردازش اطلاعات می دادند. در حالی که طبق نظر ملاصدرا آگاهی (درک اطلاعات) معمولاً همراه با پردازش اطلاعات هست، اما پردازش اطلاعات بدون آگاهی نیز امکان پذیر است. از این رو مطابق دیدگاه ملاصدرا نمی توان رابطه آگاهی و پردازش اطلاعات، را تساوی دانست.

Analysis of the Notion of Consciousness Mulla Sadra’s perspective and connectionism

Notion of consciousness is one of the most important problems in the history of philosophy. Because of the difficulty of defining consciousness, some philosophers have divided it into phenomenal consciousness, access consciousness, selfconsciousness, and monitoring consciousness. Philosophers who associate consciousness with the soul, such as Mulla Sadra, from which he refers to the knowledge of presence and on that basis, it explains the characteristics of consciousness, all types of consciousness refer to something beyond the material. This, in his view, can not reduce consciousness to matter.This is while the physicalist views, such as the theory of connectivity, attribute consciousness to matter. According to connectors, consciousness can be explained using artificial neural networks. Contrary to its claims, this theory is incapable of explaining the types and characteristics of knowledge. In this theory, the reason that attributes awareness to neural networks is to make awareness equal to the processing of information. While, according to Mulla Sadra, consciousness (understanding of information) involves processing information.But it is also possible to process information without consciousness. According to Mulla Sadra’s view, therefore, the relation between consciousness and information processing cannot be equated.
