بررسی و نقد دیدگاه‌های برخی فیلسوفان معاصر غرب دربارۀ چیستی قضایای پیشین

دربارۀ مفهوم واژه «پیشین» و به پیروی از آن، دربارۀ واژه «پسین» و گستره مفهومی این دو، چند پرسش اساسی قابل طرح است که برخی از فیلسوفان غرب، مستقیم یا غیرمستقیم به آنها پرداخته‌اند. پرسش‌هایی از این دست که آیا مراد از «پیشین» تنها قضایای پیشین است یا مفاهیم پیشین را هم می‌توان در نظر گرفت؟  آیا مراد از استقلال از تجربه در معارف پیشین، استقلال از تجربه بیرونی است یا درونی، یا هر دو؟ آیا مراد از استقلال از تجربه در مقام تکوین است یا مقام توجیه، یا هر دو؟ آیا قضایای پیشین تنها قضایای یقینی و ضروری را در بر‌می‌گیرد یا قضیه غیرضروری و غیریقینی پیشین را هم می‌توان در نظر گرفت؟ در این مقاله پاسخ فیلسوفان غرب به این پرسش‌ها بررسی و نقد شده و سرانجام، نگارنده دیدگاه برگزیده خود را تبیین کرده‌ است.

A Critical Study of the Views of Some Contemporary Western Philosophers on the What of Prior Propositions

About the meaning of the words prior and posterior and their conceptual extension, some basic questions may be proposed of which some Western philosophers, directly or indirectly, have spoken. Questions such as whether the prior refers only to the prior propositions or the prior concepts may also be considered? Does by independence from experience independence from external or internal experience is meant? Does the independence of experience refer to the status of creation, maqāmi takwīn, or to the status of justification, maqāmi tawjīh, or to both? Do priori propositions include only definite and necessary propositions, or priori nonessential and uncertain propositions may also be considered? In this article, the answers of Western philosophers to these questions are critically studied, and finally, the author`s preferred view has been referred to.
