چکیده
|
Obstructive sleep apnea (osa) is a common disorder occurring when the upper airway tissue collapse during sleep. dentists are in a prime position to be the first to identify and recognize signs and symptoms of sleep disorders breathing (sdb), and to steer patients in the right diagnostic direction. continuous positive airway pressure (cpap) is the golden standard for treatment. however, oral appliance therapy is indicated for patients with mild to moderate osa and for patients who cannot tolerate cpap therapy.
