تحلیل معنایی «اسند عنه» و امکان سنجی دلالت آن بر اعتبار راوی

شیخ طوسی برخلاف اصطلاحات رایج رجالی، تعبیر «اسند عنه» را در شرح‌حال بیش از 330 نفر از اصحاب حضرت صادق(ع) و تعداد اندکی از اصحاب برخی دیگر از معصومان(ع) به کار برده است که مراد از آن معلوم نیست. این تعبیر در دیگر کتب رجالى شیعه به‌جز مواردی اندک، آن‌هم به خاطر نقل یا تبعیت از شیخ دیده نمى‌شود. علی‌رغم چنین چیزی، برخی این عبارت را ازجمله الفاظ توثیق و مدح راوی تلقی کرده‌اند. ازآنجاکه این عبارت را شیخ طوسی در شرح‌حال تعداد قابل‌توجهی از راویان به کار برده است، ضروری می‌نماید که در گام نخست، نظریاتی که پیرامون شیوه تلفظ عبارت «اسند عنه» و به‌تبع، معنای آن بیان شده است، بررسی و راستی آزمایی گردد و در مرحله بعد، مشخص شود که آیا این عبارت، می‌تواند بیانگر وثاقت راوی باشد یا خیر؟ این مقاله با استفاده از روش تحلیلی به این یافته‌ها دست می‌یابد که اولاً، قرینه بلامعارضی نسبت به تعیّن هیچ‌یک از معانی برداشت‌شده از این عبارت وجود ندارد و صواب، آن است که گفته شود که معنای «اسند عنه» مبهم بوده و خود شیخ طوسی، بر مراد خویش از استعمال این عبارت داناتر است؛ ثانیاً، این عبارت نمی‌تواند هیچ دلالتی بر توثیق یا حتی مدح راوی داشته باشد.

Semantic Analysis of the Phrase asnada ‘anhu and Evaluation of Its Denotation of Trustworthiness of the Transmitter

Contrary to the prevailing current in the science of rijāl, alShaykh alṬūsī used the phrase asnada ‘anhu in the biography of over 300 companions of alImām alṢādiq (A.S.) as well as a few companions of other Imāms without giving any explanation of what he meant by it while such phrase cannot be seen in any other Shiite book on rijāl―except for a few that followed Shaykh in this regard. Despite that, some hold that this phrase conveys trustworthiness and praiseworthiness of the transmitter. Since that phrase is used by Shaykh in several cases, it seems necessary to evaluate all opinions stated with regard to the meaning of it first, and find out whether it can convey trustworthiness of the transmitter secondly. Taking an analytical approach, this essay finds that, firstly, there is no incontrovertible evidence to determine any of those stated opinions with regard to the phrase asnada ‘anhu and Shaykh, himself, is the only one who knows what he has meant by it, and, secondly, that phrase can in no way convey authenticity―let alone praiseworthiness―of the transmitter.
