نقد و ارزیابیِ یکی از براهین اثبات واجب الوجود براساس فرض تسلسل

براهین بسیاری برای اثبات واجب‎الوجود صورت‌بندی و ارائه شده‎اند. در یک دسته‎بندی کلّی، می‎توان این براهین را به سه دستۀ به‌شرطِ‌لا از تسلسل، لابه‌شرط از تسلسل و به‌شرط تسلسل تقسیم کرد؛ براین‌اساس، اکثر براهین اثبات وجود خداوند متعال، در دو دستۀ لابه‌شرط و به‌شرط لا از تسلسل قرار می‎گیرند. موضوع مقالۀ حاضر، نقد و ارزیابیِ برهانی است که در مقاله‎ای تحت عنوان «اثبات واجب‎الوجود براساس فرض تسلسل: نگاهی به برهان ابن‎سینا و اقامۀ برهانی بدیع» در شماره بیست و یکم همین نشریه به چاپ رسیده است. مولفان مقاله‎ی نام‎برده تلاش کرده‎اند تا با فرض تسلسل، و استفاده از برخی اصول فلسفی دیگر، برهانی بدیع ارائه کنند تا در دستۀ سوم از تقسیم‎بندی فوق قرار گیرد. در مقاله‎ی حاضر سعی شده است تا برهان مذکور با روش تحلیل منطقی، مورد نقد و ارزیابی قرار بگیرد. نتایج حاصل از این بررسی نشان می‎دهد که این برهان اولاً، جدای از صدق یا کذب مقدماتش، حاوی برخی اشکالات صوری است، و ثانیاً مبتنی بر مقدمه‎ای است که در حالت کلّی صادق نبوده و نیازمند بازنگری است. نقایص صوری این برهان را می‌توان با اعمال تغییراتی در برخی از مقدمات و تدقیق ساختار صوری استدلال برطرف کرد؛ اما تازمانی‌که مقدمه‎ی کاذب آن با مقدمه‎ای دیگر جایگزین نگردد، یا به‎نحوی اصلاح نشود، برهان یادشده ناتمام است.

Reviewing an Argument for the Existence of the Necessary Being According to the Infinite Regression Presupposition

There are many arguments formulated for the existence of the necessary Being. In a general categorization, one can divide them to three groups: conditioned to the infinite regression, indifferent to the condition of infinite regression, conditioned to the invalidity of infinite regression. In this way, the majority of the arguments for the existence of God belong to the second and third groups. The subject of this study is an argument presented in an article in the 21th issue of this journal titled “Proof for the Necessary Being Using the Infinite Regression Principle: Looking at Avicenna's Argument and the Formation of a Novel Argument.” Presupposing the infinite regression and using some other philosophical principles, the authors of that article tried to present a novel argument categorized in the first group. In the present article, that argument is examined by a logical analysis. The findings of this article firstly show that the argument, regardless of the truth value of its premises, has some formal deficiencies, and secondly has a premise that generally is not true and needs revision. Formal deficiencies of the argument could be resolved by modifying some of the premises and finetuning the formal structure of the argument; but unless the false premise of the argument being replaced by another premise, or being modified in a way, the argument will remain incomplete.
