نقد رتوریک نامه‌های پولس با تکیه بر سه‌گانه‌ بلاغی ارسطو

یکی از روش‌های نقد کتاب مقدس، نقد رتوریکی و بلاغی است که در جرگه‌ نقدهای ادبی به‌شمار می‌رود. ارسطو در کتاب خطابه‌ خویش بلاغت و اقناعگری یک خطابه و متن را در سه چیز می‌داند: وجاهت متکلم (ایتوس)، تاثیرگذاری بر احساسات مخاطب (پاتوس) و آوردن استدلالات کافی (لوگوس). این مقاله درصدد است که با روش توصیفی تحلیلی و مراجعه به متن نامه‌های پولس، سه‌گانه‌ یادشده را در آنها بررسی کند. بر اساس نتایج این تحقیق، پولس با ادبیات زندگی‌نامه‌ای کوشید وجاهت و تمایز خود را برای مخاطب تثبیت کند؛ همچنین او با روش‌های مختلف بر عواطف و احساسات مخاطبانش تاثیر گذاشت. همه‌ اینها مقدمه‌ای بود تا پولس با استفاده از استدلالات و تمثیلات مختلف، بشارت اصلی خویش (نجات‌شناسی مسیح) را برای مخاطب ترسیم کند. توجه به ابعاد سه‌گانه‌ ارسطویی در نامه‌های پولس، آن را به متونی تاثیرگذار در مسیحیت تبدیل کرده است.

rhetorical criticism of paul's letters based on aristotle's rhetorical trilogy

one of the methods of biblical criticism is rhetorical criticism, which is considered in the field of literary criticism. in his book rhetoric, aristotle considers the rhetoric and persuasiveness of a speech and text to be in three things: the speaker’s authority (ethos), influencing the audience’s emotions (pathos), and providing sufficient arguments (logos). this article seeks to examine the aforementioned triad in paul’s letters using a descriptive-analytical method and referring to the text of their letters. according to the results of this research, paul tried to establish his own importance and distinction for the audience through biographical literature; he also influenced the emotions and feelings of his audience through various methods. all of this was an introduction for paul to outline his main gospel (the salvation of christ) for the audience, using various arguments and allegories. paying attention to the three aristotelian dimensions in paul’s letters has made them influential texts in christianity.
