شناسایی نیازها و خدمات موردانتظار سالمندان از کتابخانه‌های عمومی ایران به روش تحلیل محتوا

هدف: جمعیت دنیا به‌سمت سال‌خوردگی پیش می‌رود. بر اساس پیش‌بینی‌های انجام‌شده، به نظر می‌رسد که رشد جمعیت سالمندان ایران از 8 درصد از کل جمعیت کشور در سال 2015 به حدود 33 درصد در سال 2050 برسد. از همین رو، وجود مراکزی که بتوانند پاسخ‌گوی نیازهای سالمندان باشد ضروری به ‌نظر می‌رسد. یکی از مراکزی که نقش مهمی در ارائۀ خدمات به سالمندان دارند کتابخانه‌های عمومی هستند. شناسایی نیازهای متنوع سالمندان می‌تواند موجب موفقیت طراحی و برنامه‌ریزی خدمات کتابخانه‌های عمومی به آن‌ها شود. این پژوهش با هدف شناسایی نیازها و خدمات موردانتظار سالمندان از کتابخانه‌های عمومی ایران انجام شده است. روش: پژوهش حاضر با به‌کارگیری روش تحلیل محتوای کیفی جهت‌دار و تحلیل محتوای کمّی به‌منظور شناسایی مقوله‌ها و شمارش فراوانی واحدهای تحلیل، به شناسایی نیازها، خدمات و برنامه‌های موردانتظار سالمندان در کتابخانه‌های عمومی با استفاده از مصاحبۀ نیمه‌ساخت‌یافته پرداخته است. جامعۀ آماری پژوهش را 25 نفر از کتابداران شاغل در کتابخانه‌های عمومی، سالمندان و مراقبان آن‌ها تشکیل دادند که به‌روش نمونه‌گیری هدفمند انتخاب شدند. داده‌ها با استفاده از نرم‌افزار maxqda12.3 بر اساس واحدهای معنایی (جمله) تحلیل شدند.یافته‌ها: تحلیل یافته‌های حاصل از مصاحبه به شناسایی شش مقوله شامل منابع، خدمات و برنامه‌ها، دسترس‌پذیری، تعیین نیاز، مشارکت، سیاست‌گذاری و برنامه‌ریزی، نیروی انسانی و بازاریابی و تبلیغات منجر شد. یافته‌ها نشان داد که در مقولات مزبور موارد زیر بیشتر از سایر موارد مورد توجه سالمندان قرار گرفته است: در مقولۀ نیروی انسانی، موضوع آموزش؛ در مقولۀ تعیین نیاز، شناسایی انواع نیازها؛ در مقولۀ تبلیغات و اطلاع‌رسانی، استفاده از روش‌های سنتی تبلیغات؛ در مقولۀ دسترس‌پذیری، ساختمان و فضای کتابخانه؛ در مقولۀ سیاست‌گذاری، استفاده از سالمندان داوطلب در برنامه‌های کتابخانه؛ و در مقولۀ خدمات، منابع و برنامه‌ها، برنامه‌های ارائه‌شده در محل کتابخانه. یافته‌ها همچنین حاکی از آن است که شناسایی خدمات موردنیاز سالمندان و توجه به نیازهای متنوع و پیچیدۀ آن‌ها و تامین این نیازها از طریق کتابخانه‌های عمومی می‌تواند به استقلال سالمندان کمک کرده و باعث مشارکت فعال سالمندان در جامعه شوند. علاوه بر این، تعامل و همکاری کتابخانه‌های عمومی با سایر سازمان‌های ذی‌نفع حوزۀ سالمندی، آموزش مهارت‌های ارتباط با سالمندان به کتابداران، تدوین خط‌مشی مناسب، بودجه، و تدارک تجهیزات و تسهیلات موردنیاز آن‌ها به بهبود خدمات و برنامه‌های موردنیاز سالمندان کمک می‌کند.اصالت/ارزش: طراحی خدمات، منابع و برنامه‌های موردنیاز سالمندان و دسترسی مناسب به کتابخانه از جمله اولویت‌های مهم سالمندان برای استفاده از کتابخانه‌های عمومی است. ازاین‌رو، با توجه به احتمال رشد جمعیت سالمندان در آینده، ضروری است سیاست، برنامه‌ و بودجۀ مناسبی برای این خدمات در نظر گرفته شود. استفادۀ بهتر از خدمات کتابخانه توسط سالمندان مستلزم در نظر گرفتن ویژگی‌های خاص دورۀ سالمندی است و تدارک این تسهیلات باعث جذب بیشتر سالمندان به کتابخانه‌ها می‌شود.

Identifying the needs and services expected by the elderly from the Iran public libraries: Content analysis

Purpose: The world population is growing older. According to the previous anticipations, it seems that Iranchr('39')s elderly population continues to increase dramatically in the future. While 8% of the total Iranian population was the aged people in 2015, it is expected to increase by nearly 33% of Iranchr('39')s population by 2050. Therefore, the existence of the centers to fulfill the needs of the elderly is a matter of great importance. Among all these centers, public libraries play a vital role in providing services to the elderly. Identifying the various needs of the elderly can lead to success in both designing and planning services offered by public libraries to them. This study thus aims at identifying the services expected by the elderly from public libraries in Iran. Method: The present study, by using the qualitative and quantitative content analysis in order to identify themes and count the frequency of the analysis units, identified the needs, services of Iranian public libraries for the elderly through conducting semistructured interviews. The sample of study included 14 librarians working in public libraries and 11 elderly people and caregivers that were selected purposefully. Data were analyzed using the MAXQDA12.3 based on the analysis units (sentence).Findings: The analysis of the interviews revealed six categories. According to the frequency of intervieweeschr('39') opinions, the following categories were extracted: library resources, services, and plans, accessibility, needs determination, contribution to policymaking and planning, staffing, and marketing and advertising. The higher frequency of each category was found in: implementing plans onsite at library, the issues concerning librarychr('39')s building and space, identifying various needs, training the librarians, traditional ways of marketing and advertising, and involving the volunteer elderly people in the library programs. 42 percent of all identified codes referred to the categories of the required sources, services and plans for the elderly. Identifying elderlychr('39')s required services, considering their complex needs and providing them through public libraries can help the elderly to maintain their independence and to have an active role in contributing to the society. Moreover, interaction and cooperation between public libraries and other organizations supporting the elderly, training librarians in the skills of communication with the elderly, appropriate policy making in acquisition, budgeting, and providing the necessary equipment and facilities can improve the programs and services old people need. Originality/value: library resources, services, and plans and accessibility of the library were the two significant priorities expected by the elderly from the public libraries. For this reason, considering that the old age population is likely to grow in the future, it is necessary to provide appropriate policies and budgeting plans to offer more desirable services. Better use of library services by the elderly requires considering the peculiarities of old age. Providing these facilities leads to attracting a few more people to the libraries.
