از استعارۀ پیرسی تا نماد عرفانی: الگویی متفاوت در تفسیر نشانه‌های زبان عرفان

این مقاله درصدد است با تکیه بر مبانی نشانه‌شناسی چارلز سندرس پیرس، فیلسوف پراگماتیست و نشانه‌شناس آمریکایی، و با الهام از آرای رابرت نویل (1996)، که به مناسب‌سازی الگوی پیرس در ساحت زبان دین مبادرت کرده است، با رویکردی توصیفی انتقادی الگوی تفسیری نمادهای عرفانی را، که در این نوشتار «الگوی عاطف به تکامل» نامیده‌ شده است، تبیین کند. به این منظور، در بخش اول، به تعریف جایگاه استعاره در میان انواع نشانه‌ها در طبقه‌بندی پیرس می‌پردازد. سپس، دربارۀ سازوکار تفسیر نمادهای عرفانی در قالب دو فرایند نشانه‌پردازی گفت‌وگو می‌کند و در پایان، نحوۀ شکل‌گیری شبکۀ معنایی نماد استعاره‌ها را با تلفیق هر دو فرایند یادشده توضیح می‌دهد. در این مقاله، برای نخستین بار، دو فرایند متمایز در نشانه‌پردازی (سمیوزیس) پیرسی شامل: استعلایی و غیراستعلایی شناسایی و تعریف و نقش هریک در ایجاد زنجیرۀ معنایی میان نشانه‌ها از یک سو؛ و میان نشانه با مصداق یا مدلول آن از دیگر سوی، تبیین شده است. از دیگر دستاوردهای این پژوهش، طرح مفاهیمی چون حیث تفسیری، بافت معنایی و دامنۀ ارجاعی و نقش هریک در تفسیر نظام‌مند یک نشانه است. 

from peircean metaphor to mystical symbol:a different model in the interpretation of signs inmystical language

this article seeks to explicate the interpretive model of symbolic expressions, termedthe evolutionary-oriented pattern, relying on the semiotic foundations of charlessanders peirce, an american pragmatist philosopher and semiotician. inspired by theideas of robert neville (1996), who initiated the adaptation of peirce's framework tothe realm of religious language, the article adopts a descriptive-critical approach. inthe first section, it delves into defining the position of metaphor among various typesof signs according to peirce's classification. subsequently, it discusses the structureand mechanism of interpreting symbolic expressions within the framework of twosemiotic processes, and finally, it elucidates the formation of the semantic network ofsymbols-metaphors by combining both aforementioned processes. in this article, forthe first time, two distinct processes in peircean semiosis, namely, transcendental andnon- transcendental processes, have been identified. the roles of each in creating asemantic chain among signs on one hand and between a sign and its interpretant on theother hand have been elucidated. among the other achievements of this research arethe introduction of conceptual frameworks such as interpretive aspect, semanticcontext, and the referential scope, each playing a role in the systematic interpretationof a sign.
