ملاحظاتی لغوی در باب چند تلفظ پیشنهادی در کتاب تلفظ در شعر کهن فارسی: بهره‌گیری از شعر در شناخت تلفظ‌های دیرین

تعیین تلفظ لغات بر اساس وزن عروضی و قافیه، از دیرباز در میان ادبا و لغت نویسان فارسی، مطرح و محل بحث بوده است، و در دورۀ معاصر نیز مصححانِ آثار کهن فارسی به این مقوله توجه نشان داده اند. اخیراً وحید عیدگاه طرقبه ای (1399)، پژوهشی جامع در این باب، با عنوان تلفّظ در شعر کهن فارسی، به طبع رسانده که در آن، یافته های فراوانی در زمینۀ تلفظ های شاذ و گویشی، به همراه برخی پیشنهادهای تلفظی ارائه شده است. در مقالۀ حاضر برخی حدس های مولف کتاب، بر مبنای ملاحظاتی لغوی، رد شده و مورد نقد قرار گرفته است. از آنجا که این ملاحظات، ناظر به تلفظ لغات است، فرای نقد کتاب و در چشم اندازی کلی، می تواند در سایر پژوهش های مشابهِ آتی مورد استفاده قرار گیرد. مرور این شواهد، گویای چند خطا و ضعف روش شناختی در این اثر است: نخست، غفلتِ مولف است از پاره ای واژه های زبان های ایرانی میانه و نو. دوم، گرایش وی به نظام سازی، به قیمت چشم بستن بر پاره ای استثناها؛ اشکالی که با ادعای «استقرای تام» و نقد «نگاه یک سان ساز و تعمیم گر» در پژوهش ایشان، در تضاد است. سرانجام، باید به مهم ترین مورد اشاره کرد که غلبۀ نوعی درک تجویزی از مسائل آواییِ گویشی است.

lexical considerations on a number of pronunciations proposed in the book pronunciation in early persian poetry: using poetry to determine old pronunciations

determining the pronunciation of words - based on the prosodic meter and rhyme - has been a topic of long discussion for persian literati and lexicographers, and in the modern era, editors of early persian literature have also shown great interest in this subject.  recently, vahid idgah torghabei (1399/ 2020) has done a comprehensive study on this subject, titled pronunciation in early persian poetry, in which he presents numerous findings on uncommon and dialectic alongside some pronunciation suggestions. in the current study, some of the authorʼs conjectures are criticized and denied based on lexical considerations.  since these considerations emphasize the pronunciation of words, they can be utilized in future similar researches in the general sense and besides criticizing the book. reviewing this evidence reveals some flaws and methodologic weaknesses in this work: first, the authorʼs inadequate mastery over the lexicon of middle and new iraninan languages. second, his tendency towards systematization by the cost of neglecting exceptions which is in contrast with the claim of “total inductionˮ and the critique of “uniforming and generalizing outlookˮ in the study.  finally, the most critical problem of his methodology, which is the domination of a prescriptive understanding of phonetic features of dialects.
